Start with your approved account
Sign in using your approval email and choose a new password at first sign-in. Crystal and Relief use one shared credit balance. Review the price shown before generating: Relief AI and PNG export may have separate prices. Waiting and failed preparation do not spend credits.
Guide controls never start generation or spend credits. Keep downloaded files and editable projects; online retention is limited.
Crystal Studio: photo to PLY
- Upload your original. Use a sharp JPG, PNG or WebP. Keep the original photo and save an editable project so you can revisit your work.
- Match the crystal. Choose the actual shape, width, height and material depth. Keep the artwork inside the engraving margins. Dimensions describe your blank, not the screen size.
- Choose the background. In AI Smart, choose With background or Remove background. Keep scenery, lettering and decorative borders when they are part of the design.
- Prepare once. Choose AI Smart Prepare or Portrait Layers UHD; UHD includes preparation. Wait for completion and review saved preparation activity before submitting again.
- Inspect the real points. Review the actual point cloud from Front and Side. Check faces, hair, dark gaps, lettering, margins and depth. Display lighting changes the preview, not exported geometry.
- Generate and save. Review the current PLY credit price, choose the supported export format and select Generate PLY. Keep the completed download and an editable project. Re-downloads of the same available export do not create another generation charge.

Relief edits and logo borders
From Release 148, the first successful export records image coverage for your account. Later edits of that same original image are included. Keep the original file or editable project; a separately re-encoded image may be treated as a different source. The Studio checks coverage before export and shows any first-use price. Older exports keep their original download receipts; contact support about edited images exported before image coverage was introduced.
For the outline surrounding a logo, open Logo border height, choose Select outline in Original view, and click its white line. Review the cyan selection, then adjust Outline height. Separate lettering stays unchanged. Both grayscale PNGs include the result. The slider sets relative image height, not a physical machine Z command.
Use New project to clear the current editor. Save or discard unsaved work when prompted; saved files and image coverage remain. Get Help for this relief opens your project conversation. The assigned technician appears once a staff member starts reviewing it.
When you need a hand
Still processing? Check saved preparation activity before submitting again. A repeated new request can start another provider job.
A result looks wrong? Compare the original and depth map. Keep adjustments gentle. Missing photographic details cannot be guaranteed by raising resolution.
Need support? Use Get Help for this project where available. Include the project name, what happened and any error reference. Never send passwords or payment details.
Keep the right file
Crystal: PLY contains the points for the supported inner-engraving workflow. Relief: the grayscale PNG describes surface height for embossing. These files are not interchangeable.
Relief preview shading and design depth are illustrative. They do not configure your laser. Verify import size and map direction, then run a material sample.
